There is no official announcement yet from LG however information about the GC900 Viewty 2 have been snapped. Presented recently as a touchscreen-only prototype, a few specifications were clearly available.

Just as we've been expecting, LG has announced their Renoir phone that keeps up with the megapixel race in camera phones, bringing 8 megapixels on board, much like the Samsung Pixon.

LG has announced the LG KC910, the successor to the LG KU990 Viewty, and competition to the newly announced Sony Ericsson C905 and Samsung INNOV8. This GSM Quadband phone has an 8-megapixel camera that supports auto focus and has a Xenon flash module.

Recently released FCC approval documents have confirmed the existence of LG's latest Viewty cellphone; however unlike the existing KU990 handset, which has 3G HSDPA along with its lauded 5-megapixel camera, the new KE990 will have merely dualband (850/900) GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity. Three versions of the cut-down cameraphone will be made, differentiated by their suffix: the KE990, the KE990c and the KE990d.
