Samsung's U900 Soul is not exactly a new product, obviously, since we managed to get a hands-on look at it way back in February. However, they have decided to branch out and try to snag a few more customers by adding a new color to the cute little slider phone.

The urge to capitalise on the almost surprising popularity of the U900 Soul has driven Samsung to produce this, the G400 Soul, a touchscreen-blessed clamshell set for release at CeBIT 2008 this week. Where the U900 slider has a small touchscreen underneath its main display, the G400 has a large, 2.22-inch touchscreen with haptic feedback on the outside, allowing ...

The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona has unsurprisingly been the star event of this week, featuring the mixture of new product launches, corporate jostling and PR whimsy that we all know and love. LG had given the game away that it was launching the KF700 and KF600 at the Mobile World Congress, but we now know a bit more about what's inside the two touchscreen handsets. With a sliding alpha-numeric keyboard at the bottom, a 3-inch touch-sensitive display and a scroll-wheel mounted on the back, LG are keen to highlight the variety of ...

From those I've spoken to, Samsung's U900 Soul seems to be getting mixed responses. Non-touchscreen folks don't seem to mind multiple keypresses that their fingers can memorise, while those who prefer a touchscreen tend to dismiss the Soul for being only partially touch-responsive. I'm thinking, though, that this exclusive Samsung U900 Soul video that Vincent shot at the Mobile World Congress ...

As well as the U900 Soul, Vincent also got to play with Samsung's new full-touchscreen handset, the i900. This smartphone, remember, is the slimmer cousin of the F700v, lacking that handset's slide-out QWERTY keyboard but making up for it with an upgraded, 5-megapixel camera.

Vincent got to spend some hands-on time with Samsung's latest slider, the Soul, at a preview event at the Mobile World Congress this weekend, and we've got a full gallery of exclusive images to share with you. First impressions are good, the touch-sensitive control panel beneath the main display gives much of the benefits of a full-touchscreen with the ...
