HTC’s Advantage smartphone-cum-tablet launched a year ago and eventually found a niche among laptop-phobic power users, who appreciated both its small dimensions and full QWERTY keyboard. Today HTC have upgraded the device, now the Advantage X7510, basing it on ”a future version of Windows Mobile” which I’m assuming is 6.1 Pro and including HSDPA, GPS, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth 2.0 and more.

HTC have loaded the graphical TouchFLO UI overlay, as well as TomTom Navigator for turn-by-turn directions, and will be including Opera Mobile 9 and Google Maps for Mobile as standard. 16GB of storage is also included, while the magnetically-attached keyboard now has haptic feedback; a new version of VueFLO, the software which controls screen orientation depending on how the Advantage is held, is also installed.
The HTC Advantage X7510 will be available in Europe from March 2008.
