LG has unveiled a new budget mobile phone from LG called the Tritan. The phone looks a lot like the T-Mobile G1 to me. Tritan offers a 3-inch touch screen with a 3-megapixel camera and works on the Alltel 3G network.

A QWERTY keyboard slides out from under the screen and the device features a full web browser and is GPS capable. Premier applications and services are supported on the Tritan including Alltel e-mail, Navigation, NuTsie, text messaging, Picture messages, and video messages.

The handset ships with an AC travel charger and a LCD protective film. The full MSRP for the device is $449 with a $270 online rebate and a $100 mail-in rebate the Tritan can be yours for $79.99. The device is also available on the Alltel buy one, get one free plan.

Hi all, I got a chance to see a demo LG Tritan and it’s a really cool phone. I heard from a U.S. Cellular rep. that it should be in the store sometime this week. I have the Samsung Delve and I can’t wait to return it so I can get the LG Tritan. I was told it has Yahoo Messaging and IM Messaging.

someone create a site for the LG Tritan, http://www.LG-Tritan.com check it out when you have time.
