If you’ve been waiting for an entry-level smartphone from ASUS (and how very specific of you!) then MobiFrance might have just the upcoming device for you. Codenamed the Galaxy Mini, the Windows Mobile 6.1-powered smartphone is modest in its functionality - mere GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS - but the estimated price of between €300 and €400 ($442-$589) is similarly modest.

Powered by a Texas Instruments 200MHz CPU, the Galaxy Mini has a 2-megapixel camera, QVGA touchscreen and microSD card slot, and will be available in pink, blue and champagne.
No release date has been announced.
