It hardly seems worth announcing yet another variant of the BlackBerry Pearl – seriously, is there a carrier left without one in its catalogue? – but AT&T’s at least has the honour of being the first US GSM version of their latest update.  The 8120 is the GSM version of the Pearl 8130 available from Verizon Wireless, and AT&T have happily left the WiFi functionality unfettered together with improving the web browser.

On the flip-side, you lose the GPS functionality from the Verizon version, although the updated 2-megapixel camera, externally-sited microSD slot and 3.5mm headphones socket are all there.

The BlackBerry Pearl 8120 is apparently available now through AT&T’s business department, although as of writing it’s yet to show up on their website.  It’s priced at $199.99 after the usual brace of rebates, discounts, two-year contracts and sacrificing of one’s first-born.
