Hardly cheap and potentially less than fully functional, but for $900 a buyer over at the XDA Developers forum has got his hands on what’s possibly the first AT&T HTC Touch Pro smartphone in the US. Delivered today, the handset looks slightly different to the images we’ve seen before; for a start, the dedicated number key row has been replaced by a punctuation row, and the numbers grouped in the traditional keypad layout.

There’s also been a change of keypad color, with the rather livid green in the handset Vincent played with replaced by a rather more subdued blue. A Windows ‘Start’ key has appeared in the top left-hand corner, and there’s what looks to be a key with the AT&T logo down by the spacebar.
The Touch Pro itself is described as a pre-release handset given to what sounds like an AT&T employee or someone connected with the network as a demo unit. You can see our hands-on video with the HTC Touch Pro below.
