Today AT&T and Yahoo! announced that the Yahoo! oneSearch mobile search engine would be used to power all Internet searches made through the MEdia Net portal provided by AT&T.

The oneSearch engine will allows MEdia Net users to access weather, photos, news and more. And regardless of what you search for, you will also be provided with ringtones, wallpaper and game options that are relevant to your search.

Local search information from YellowPages.com will be provided through the search service, and advertising will also be introduced. The whole idea is to make searching the Internet on your mobile phone an easier and more cohesive experience. This way, you can access all you need from news to downloadable content in one window.
