According to a member of the Everything Treo forums, an AT&T store manager has confirmed that a white version of the Palm Centro will launch on the network on February 19th. The release comes shortly after a SIM-free GSM version of the Centro was announced for Europe, and several months after Sprint first secured initial exclusivity of the smartphone. According to the source, the handset will retail for $99 after rebates.

The Centro is a quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900MHz) smartphone running Palm’s own OS. It has a transflective 2.4-inch 320 x 320 touchscreen, a rather measly 1.3-megapixel camera and a microSD slot.
If the rumor pans out, this would be the first Palm handset available officially through AT&T since the Treo 680.
