The Pantech C610 is AT&T’s latest low-cost clamshell, with 3G HSDPA, AGPS with support for AT&T Navigator, a 1.3-megapixel camera with video recording functionality and A2DP stereo Bluetooth.  There’s also access to AT&T’s Mobile Music streaming and download service, AT&T streaming video content and AT&T Video Share.

Storage is via microSD, and content for playback on the handset’s media player can be either loaded directly to the card or downloaded onto the phone.  There’s also Music ID recognition, to identify songs playing on the radio.  AT&T also preload an IM client, compatible with AIM, Windows Live and Yahoo! Messengers.

The Pantech C610 measures 3.67 x 1.81 x 0.72 inches and weighs 3.25oz.  It’s external display is a compact 1-inch, 96 x 96 resolution 65K CSTN; inside, there’s a 2-inch, 176 x 220 resolution 260K TFT.  Talktime is rated at up to 3hrs, while standby is up to 10 days.

It’s available from AT&T now, priced from free to around $49 with a new two-year agreement.  MobileBurn have been taking a look at the C610, and while it’s not going to replace anything especially high-end, for the price there’s a lot on offer.  Image quality, despite the relatively low-resolution camera, is reasonable, while AGPS locks onto a fix quickly (making the sluggish AT&T Navigator app all the more frustrating).
