It looks like AT&T isn’t doing so hot when it comes to carrier competition. In fact, they came in last in a recent JDPower and Associates wireless industry survey.

Of the six regional categories, AT&T came in last in four of them! They never received anything above a three out of five rating for any of the other categories, either. Even worse, the recent iPhone 3G problems haven’t even been factored into this study, as it took place between February and June.

Verizon came in first, while Alltel followed and Sprint and U.S. Cellular tied for third. T-Mobile came in fourth. And what can we glean from these results? For certain, CDMA is still the path to better call quality. Perhaps networks will now be bolstered. We can only hope.
