The folks at Melbourne University formally introduced GiFi, where they formally announced and demonstrated a chip that could transmit 5-gigabits per second of data over a wireless connection, for a distance of up to 10 meters which is roughly 32 feet. In brief, the Samsung Ace runs on Sprint’s fast EVDO Rev. 0 and 1XRTT network. Unfortunately it does not support Rev. A and while roaming abroad you’re only getting GPRS.
