It seems that everyones favorite upcoming BlackBerry device, the BlackBerry 9000, may have gotten a name. It is rumored that the device, is to be called the BlackBerry Bold. If you ignore the fact that it makes the device sound like some sort of berry flavored cigarette, it is kind of catchy if you say it a few times.

The name is not official, so no one get too fond of it just yet. There has been no word from RIM, and it would appear that the site may not even be registered by RIM. A quick who is of the site shows that it is registered to a Canadian entity in Vancouver, not in RIM’s stomping grounds of Waterloo. Not exactly the most encouraging detail for this rumor.

Furthermore, the site has nothing even related to RIM or BlackBerries. As of now, it is just a list of text advertisements, hardly exciting. There is a chance this is a fan site that has not gotten around to being built yet. When RIM announces this thing in two days, we will know for sure, as the site will either become an official RIM site, or it will sit and do nothing, as it is now.
