It might look like a squared-off hockey puck about to be chomped in the jaws of a ruler-monster, but in actual fact this is BlackBerry’s Bluetooth Remote Stereo Gateway, showing up for the first time in FCC documentation. About as simple in operation as making a balloon-animal snake, the device will pair with an A2DP-compatible cellphone and stream music from it to a set of connected speakers.

That could make it useful in both the home and as an in-car accessory, as a way of getting music from your BlackBerry - or, presumably, any phone with the necessary Bluetooth profile – played through your car’s speakers.
Incidentally, someone buy the FCC some new rulers. These are looking dreadfully battered.
