The BlackBerry Bold has been on our radar for quite some time now. However, the device has recently been experiencing delay after delay, which is never a good sign for product marketing. Even so, AT&T is holding back the Bold now to conduct more testing.

The CEO of RIM, the maker of the BlackBerry Bold stated today that the device was still being tested by AT&T in an attempt to fix all problems before it ever reaches the wild. Apparently, this steadfastness to fix all problems was spurned on by the number of issues encountered by the iPhone 3G.

The initial plan for the Bold was for it to be released in the summer, but there is still no release date in sight. It seems like AT&T is not overcompensating for their iPhone 3G connection issues and taking it out on the Bold. At the moment, all we know is that we’re still supposed to see the BlackBerry Bold by the end of the year.
