RIM’s BlackBerry Javelin is upcoming but now we’ve learned a bit more about the device’s hardware. The phone that is meant to be a Curve replacement may be lacking in some areas, but it makes up for it in others.

For instance, the Javelin doesn’t have 3G like the Bold, and it’s limited to the EDGE network. However, previous rumors have been confirmed with photographic proof: the phone will receive a 3.2 megapixel camera with flash and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Plus, the Vodaphone branding seems to confirm the device will appear on the carrier in Europe, though it may be seen on Rogers in Canada as well. Other hints point to T-Mobile for the device in the US, but may not see the light of day until the end of the year.

Isn’t this meant to be the Pearl replacement, not the Curve replacement?

  2. Luke (Germany) says:

I don´t think it´s the successor of the Pearl (which`s successor is the new BB 8820) but the sucessor of the curve.
