The BlackBerry Kickstart 8220 is rumored to be launched sometime in September, but until then, we’ll have to settle for speculation and image leaks. But really, isn’t that half the fun?

This shiny new phone will have wi-fi capability, a 2 megapixel camera, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, a microSD card slot, a suretype keyboard, the 4.6 version of the OS, a 240 x 320 internal display and a 160 x 128 external display. All in all, it’s shaping up to be a decent phone.

The display screens provide rich colors and the keyboard bears large, oversized keys, making typing a much easier task than it normally is on a cell phone. For a smartphone, this BlackBerry is small and lightweight yet still feels solid in your hand according to early reviewers. And though the Kickstart will no doubt look different at the time of launch, this is a relatively good look at what to expect.
