BlackBerry Onyx with optical track pad

I have said before that I am not a big Blackberry fan. I do like the trackball navigation that the devices use. The downside to the trackball is that the little balls can be prone to breakage, and a broken balls is no laughing matter. One friend has had to have his ball replaced twice now.

I am sure that many other Blackberry users have had issues with the trackball breaking at one point or another as well and some suitably blurry spy shots of a new Blackberry device called the Onyx have surfaced with an optical track pad.

BGR isn’t sure, if the devices in the image are prototypes or if they are early production units. We can only wait and see, but the optical track pad will stop the viscous cycle of ball breakage for many Blackberry users.

This WILL be my first blackberry! I am so excited I do not have to become one of the thousands of sheeple that are slaves to the Iphone, and all Icrap you have to have to use all of it’s features.

I was gonna swap from at&t for the tour, but now I am staying with them for this phone! WiFi & 3G & GPS & & & wow! Finally one that has it all!!!
