BlackBerry Storm delayed; mid-November launch now expected

It feels like we’ve been talking about the BlackBerry Storm/Thunder for such a long time now that I’m questioning if it will ever come out. Now, a delay has set back the Storm 3-4 weeks meaning we should finally see the phone sometime in November.

The BlackBerry Storm has just gone into technical acceptance at Verizon. And while that’s a good thing, it’s a process that takes 3-4 weeks to complete. Plus, it has also been delayed another 3-4 weeks because it has a few bugs to work out before launch. That’s actually a significant push back.

It’s also rumored that Verizon has increased the marketing budget for this BlackBerry model, but that remains to be seen. Until then, I guess we’ll just have to make due with pondering the still curious Storm/Thunder naming controversy and why sometimes cell phone carriers make things so complicated.
