Blackboard offers iPhone and mobile web platform

All across the country, more and more educational institutions are starting to integrate technology. Technology can be used for all sorts of things in a classroom from textbooks to reference material for projects.

Blackboard has announced a new iPhone and mobile web offering that supports a student’s mobile lifestyle. The MobileEdu platform lets students access a set of campus life services and content on mobile devices that is branded for each educational institution.

Using the application with a participating school allows the students to browse course catalogs, campus maps, email teachers, and classmates and get real-time update son course schedules. The app also provides access to iTunes U, YouTube, or other custom video content including course lectures.
