Another incident involving carrier pigeons attempting to get phone parts into Jail has been unearthed. Previously occurring in Brazil, this time the naughty flying mules were spotted in Columbia.

The with a tiny suitcase full of cellphone components strapped to its back, the bird attempted to make its way into the Jail. Heavy rains prevented the little fella from entering the prison in north central Colombia, said the police chief in Boyaca state, Juan Carlos Polania.

Polania said that authorities are worried of this way of smuggling goods into the prison. Main issue being that officials have no way of combating it. They also are wondering whether any of the many pigeons that live in or near the prison are pulling double duty. The bird in this case was taken to an animal shelter in the city of Soraca.
