CES 2008: LG promise Digital TV on your mobile in US come 2009

It hardly seems fair to have another mobile TV service launch, when all the juicy DMB-T handsets won’t even work in Europe or the US, but thankfully LG’s MPH (Mobile Pedestrian Handheld) is set to roll out in the US come 2009.  The clever bit is that the standard promises jitter-free connections even on vehicles moving 140mph, and can be retro-fitted to existing digital phone technology so that should hopefully nudge the carriers into adopting it.

Veronica Belmont (from Mahalo Daily) got some hands-on time with LG’s MPH demo units at CES, and came away impressed:

Apparently LG has signed deals with over 800 broadcasters, making the 2009 launch look all the more rosy.
