One of the long running debates in the mobile phone industry is whether mobile phones contribute to the formation of tumors in the brain of users. So far, there has been no concrete evidence that the two things are linked and several studies have outright claimed no link at all.

The Citizens for Health have announced that they will hold a press conference (PDF) organized by Sen. Arlen Specter titled “Living with Brain Tumors.” The conference is set for today immediately after the Senate hearings on the health effects of cell phones.

Brian tumors is a very serious medical problem and much research has been put into efforts to both prove and disprove that cell phones can contribute to the formation of tumors. I hope that someday scientists will be able to concretely say whether there is a correlation.
