Everyone is coming out with apps for the iPhone and iPod touch it seems. One of my favorite apps for the iPhone is the one from DirecTV that allows me to access my DVR from anywhere and set it to record shows that I forgot to record from home.

Comcast has announced a new app for the iPhone and touch that allows customers to access services from Comcast like their email inbox, visual voice mail and more. The app also gives access to address book syncing, TV listings, and trailers for movies on the Comcast On demand service.

One of the cool features of the app is that it allows users with Comcast phone service in the home to forward the calls to the iPhone directly from the iPhone. The program guide used on the app allows viewing of programs up to a week after the current date.
