Comcast plans to push TV to cell phones

I would really like to be able to watch some TV on my iPhone while I sit in the line waiting for my kids to come out of school. Users of Comcast cable may be able to watch their favorite TV shows on their mobile phones one day.

The cable provider has announced that as part of its push services it will offer TV shows on mobile devices. The company says that it will likely use WiMax as the technology to push the TV service to mobile users.

That would mean at this point if WiMax is chosen only a few cities would be able to get the programming. Comcast is an investor in Clearwire, a WiMax 4G provider and the move would be a clear way to push WiMax to consumers. There is no mention of an exact time frame for offering the service.

What a joke u can already do this on any phone through Slingplayer. Comcast should already know this before they waste tons of money.

Or you can use Sprint TV on your Palm Pre…oh wait, you don’t have a Pre, you have an iCrap. hahahahahahaha lol

Slingplayer is great, but AT&T broke the app by only allowing it to run on the iPhone via WiFi only (yet they let it run on 3G with all their other phones!).

If Comcast allows this, it would be funny to see what AT&T does to try and block Comcast from letting something like this run on an iPhone.
