The Palm Centro is destined for Verizon’s network, we have known that for a while. It is getting very close now obviously though, with a dummy of the phone showing up at Circuit City, a large electronics retailer. The Centro is already on Sprint and AT&T, and with Verizon getting the device, it has been quite a success story for Palm.

It is in the blue color just like we had seen before from the press shots that surfaced of the device. The device obviously is the same Centro that we have been seeing on the other carriers, with all the specs we know of now. These will include EV-DO, full keyboard, a 1.3 mega pixel camera, A2DP, MicroSD expandability, and all of the applications and features that accompany the Palm OS.
It is not known yet when the device will hit Verizon’s air waves, but it has to be soon, with dummies of the device already showing up. The price point has not been set, but it will most likely fall in line with the price Sprint charges, which is $99 on a new contract after rebates.
