Sadly issues have plagued the only touchscreen device from RIM. The BlackBerry Storm will soon get another firmware update that will address numerous issues.

This is the second update for the phone in just a few months. This update was released mainly to work through issues with the touch interface itself. The update now will fix a few issues in light of the next model, the Storm 2 coming to stores soon.

The new fix will address issues with display issues, freezing and a variety of smaller bugs. With the modifications to the current functionality, the implementation of the update will include a few new options. The main one being, the QWERTY keyboard to be available in both portrait and landscape modes. From this point, it would be thought that RIM will focus all efforts to the development, marketing and release of the Storm 2.
