I doubt this phone could be an iphone killer at all, so it doesn't work $499 according to http://www.Garmin-Nuvifone.org, this phone might not survive with this price.

Man I just heard about this for the first time today. I'm really excited to see if it's as good as it looks. I'm dying for a new phone as I HATE my current Windows Mobile smartphone. But there is nothing out there right now that I like. This looks like it could be a winner. I sure hope it takes microSD so I can put movies / music on it for trips. And also that it's not tied to just one provider (I'd have an iPhone by now if it wasn't AT&T only).

Will this phone be offered to a wide variety of CDMA and GSM companies or will it be used for Garmins own phone service (like MVMO)?

Does the nuvifone have voice activated dialing and voice turn by turn directions?
Secondly, what service provider will be offering the Nuvifone? I hope more than one. I think that was the problem with the IPhone, it was only offered by AT&T.

[...] On the GPS side, other than being able to use Google maps, you also get access to Garmin Online which will get you real-time traffic updates, fuel prices, stock prices, sports scores, news reports, local events, and weather forecasts. Also, since its from Garmin, it obviously has its own set of GPS maps built in with your choice of North America or Eastern and Western Europe, or you can have both.[via phonemag] [...]

Ooops I forgot two other things...what's the memory storage - there's no mentioning of it the press release. Also, Vincent - make sure to get us some real hands-on at Mobile World Congress. Thanks.

I want to see what the keyboard looks like! I wonder if it's as good as the iPhone. Does anyone know if the nuvifone's display have tactile feedback like the LG Voyager?
