AT&T have announced a duo of HSUPA data cards, the GT Ultra and GT Ultra Express, both being triband UMTS/HSPA (850/1900/2100 MHz) and quadband GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) compatible. Both cards – one PC Card compatible, the other ExpressCard – will provide typical download speeds of between 600 Kbps and 1,400 Kbps and typical upload speeds of between 500 Kbps and 800 Kbps.

The two devices – both manufactured by Option – should be able to access high-speed cellular internet in up to 140 countries worldwide, including the UK, Japan and Korea, and are both PC and Mac compatible.
AT&T are currently running a promotion where, via a mail-in rebate, both GT Ultra models are free with a new, two year contract. Data plans start at $60 a month.
