I’m not that big a fan of many hands free devices. I don’t like the way headsets look and in my convertible most hands free devices that fit onto the visor or other part of the vehicle don’t work that great thanks to the extra noise.

One of the coolest parts of most GM vehicles is the OnStar system that can call 911 in the event of an accident. If you don’t have a GM car, but want OnStar-like features a new Bluetooth device called the Guidepoint Connect can offer them. The device has a button that calls for emergency help when pressed and when the Connect is paired with an optional GPS receiver, it can route EMS to the vehicles exact location.

The GPS tracking module can also provide location and tracking of a vehicle that has been stolen as well as provide online location service for the car. The Connect will sell for $399, will be offered through new car dealerships, includes E-call emergency dispatch service, and a year of Guidepoint Service.
