Rejoice! Bell Canada and Telus Mobility will be rolling out HSPA soon with LTE to be coming thereafter by the year 2010. Long Term Evolution or LTE will be the carriers’ fourth-generation option of choice.
This will significantly increase download speeds, boosting them up to 100Mbps. Interestingly enough, the HSPA will be added to the current 3G networks in order to make the transition to LTE smoother, even though HSPA is usually only used on GSM networks.
This will definitely be a game changer, considering current connection speeds on 3G networks can only reach a maximum of 7.5Mbps. This will greatly expand what people can access on their cell phones, no doubt increasing video and gaming options.
