HTC has announced the highest-performing touchscreen phone they have ever created. The MAX 4G is the production version of the T8290 with a beautiful 3.8-inch, 800 x 480 screen. The most impressive feature of the new MAX 4G is the addition of the WIMAX connection adding 4G Internet access.

They have also built in a GSM connection to make traditional phone calls. The HTC MAX 4G is the best of all that HTC has to offer; this handset includes a 5-megapixle camera, GPS ad Wi-Fi. The Max 4G is able to switch from a 8GB internal storage to removable storage.
HTC has been created for the Russian carrier Scartel and their Yota WIMAX service. The MAX 4G offers a range of features to take full advantage of the extra bandwidth, including VoIP calls between Yota members and on-demand downloads of music and videos. There are no current plans for this handset to have other versions at this time. The first handsets are set to start shipping on November 26th.
