For some people out there, that title may as well say “…pushed into oblivion.” Following a pretty sizable launch back in May, the Droid Incredible by HTC has seen nothing but consistent delays. There were plenty of rumors out there about what was happening, even to the extent that the premiere Android-based device was on the way out from Verizon, but it’s been pretty much confirmed that due to Samsung’s inability to keep up with demand (for HTC, not for themselves) for their AMOLED displays, the Droid Incredible is as uncommon as a Unicorn.
And the bad news just keeps on coming. Though it’s been a constant push-back since the middle of July, no one would have expected to see that ship date reach August. Today, though, that’s exactly what happened. If you’re ordering the Droid Incredible right now, you won’t get your hands on it for just under a month. August 3rd, to be exact. And while that’s bad news in of itself, that’s pretty much a pre-cursor, at least in our eyes, that tells us the Incredible’s going to get pushed back again, way before it starts seeing production meet demand.
