HTC HD2 to get WinMo 7 in 2010, N900 ships in US, LG GW880 hits China Mobile

Word is coming in that in 2010 the HTC HD2 may get a Windows Mobile 7 upgrade. According to the rumor, the update will be offered as soon as WinMo 7 launches. The downside is the update is said to be in late 2010.

The Nokia N900 running Maemo 5 is now shipping in the US. According to the official PR, we should have seen the handset about a week ago; I wonder what the delay was. The device is selling for $649 unlocked over at Nokia direct.

China Mobile has landed its own version of the Android-powered LG GW880 smartphone. The handset is the second Android device from LG and China Mobile subscribers will be the first to get the device.

You tell me. What use is a rumor about an upgrade to WinMo 7, if neither Microsoft, HTC or the phone carrier will come out and say it? If it’s just a rumor, then it’s not going to happen.

And what’s HTC’s response to the defective “pink aura” cameras that have been reported about the HD2?
