A new smartphone from HTC has been spotted. The QWERTY device has been given a little communications love.

The Maple is an ultra-flat device that runs on Windows Mobile Standard. The phone offers no touchscreen with naviagtion available via the keyboard and trackball. Rotation and zoom options have been improved for video and photos. The design of the phone looks set around use and improving productivity rather than leaning towards outer beauty. Beauty is on the inside anyway.
The main development of the phone is ‘Inner Circle‘. A communication medium to allow users to stay in touch with those they actually want to hear from. Depending on the day and time, updates sent to the phone can be customized. This “people-centric communication” allows users to elect who they hear form when, such as business associates during work hours, family and friends on evening or weekends. Great for those easily distracted when bound to a desk. When and if the phone will be available (at this point on the German market) is yet to be determined.
