TmoNews found some surveys that T-Mobile sent out to a few lucky customers. This survey is asking their opinion on potential names for the successor to the T-Mobile G1.  Among the names are Sapphire, Magic, Dream, and others.  They can’t keep it simple with the logical succession of G2?

Also listed are G3, myTouch 3G with Google, Genius 3G with Google, and Prism 3G with Google.  T-Mobile customers are being asked to give their feedback on the names for the next device.  It isn’t clear how the customers are being chosen however.

The G2 or whatever it’s called, is expected to be released very soon, and will be the followup to the pioneering G1, the first phone to use the Google Android platform.  It will feature a touchscreen keyboard, and have a considerably slimmer form factor than the original G1.
