HTC have released some press images of the Touch Diamond, as well as more spec details. We now know that the smartphone uses a Qualcomm 528MHz processor, which goes some way to explaining those super-smooth TouchFLO 3D menu animations, as well as a front-mounted camera for video calls and, for some reason overlooked in HTC’s presentation, GPS navigation. The dimensions of the Touch Diamond have also been released: at 102 x 51 x 11.33mm and 110g, it’s smaller and lighter than the iPhone (which measures in at 115 x 61 x 11.6mm and 135g).

However the pay-off for a smaller body, considering the hardware buttons at the base of the handset, is a smaller screen than the iPhone’s 3.5-inches. It’s higher resolution, though, at full VGA – 480 x 640 – compared to the iPhone’s 320 x 480.

What about Micro/MiniSD
…Front mounted camera? Unless there are two cameras on the phone (which I’m somewhat skeptical of) there is CLEARLY a camera in the back of the phone. Unless, that is, they like to label a random pointless hole on the back of the phone, “F2.8 Auto Focus 3.2 Megapixel”
Yes, there are two cameras: the main 3.2MP one for photos and video on the back, and then a VGA camera on the front, upper right hand corner, for video calls. Many 3G phones have two cameras.
What rock have you been hiding under Neoterix?
Good day,
I would please like to know if the GPS system of Touch Diamond requires a service provider or an internet connection or if it functions using its own GPS integrated system.
Thank you
Yes it does have its own integrated GPS which can (but is not required) also use assistance (A-GPS) from the service provider to find its location faster.
I have an HTC touch diamond
My GPS program couldnt identify the port
i mean which port is working with the gps system
