Over at SlashGear we’ve been video unboxing the latest Windows Mobile smartphone, HTC’s deeply impressive Touch Diamond2. Announced at Mobile world Congress in Barcelona last February, the HTC Touch Diamond2 has a 3.2-inch WVGA touchscreen, WiFi b/g, 3G HSDPA, GPS and the latest version of HTC’s own TouchFLO 3D interface.

The full review of the smartphone will arrive on SlashGear very soon, but until then there’s the unboxing video plus some comparison shots with the original HTC Touch Diamond and the newer HTC Touch HD. Back at MWC, HTC told us that the Diamond2 was the result of customer feedback from both those handsets, so you can bet we’ll be looking closely for any signs of family DNA.
Note, there’s also a leather slip-case lurking inside the box, that we didn’t manage to find during the video. HTC have told us that the final packaging will be similar, though not identical to what you see here, when the Touch Diamond2 eventually launches.
