Pre-orders are already available for the HTC Touch Diamond2 without it being ‘official’. Expansys UK lists the phone, ready by April 17 with early orders receiving £30 worth of vouchers after shipping.

Technical details of the phone include Qualcomm MSM7200A, 528 MHz processor operating on Windows Mobile 6.1 professional. Display is via a 3.2-inch TFT-LCD touch-sensitive screen with 480 x 800 WVGA resolution. Connectivity is available with Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi and HTC ExtUSB (11-pin mini-USB 2.0 and audio jack in one).

Entertainment and additional features offer a 5 megapixel camera, supports 11 different audio formats, 7 video formats all standing by for up to 500 hours (depending on network). Another featherweight of the mobile world, (only 117.5 grams [4.15 ounces] with battery) and 107.85 x 53.1 x 13.7 mm (4.25 X 2.09 X 0.54 inches), the sleek model is certainly gaining my interest. Listed currently at £399.99 (approx $560 US) I will keep my ear to the ground for official statements on this one!
