We see phone rumors all the time here on PhoneMag, but this one sounds sort of probable. Rumor has it that there is an HTC Touch HD in the works that features a slide-out keyboard. This would make sense since HTC tends to release a Pro version of their handsets that feature a full QWERTY keyboard.

The above photo is just a mockup, but it seems like this device would be just like the HTC Touch HD, which we won’t be getting in the U.S. It would probably have a 5-megapixel camera, a 3.8-inch WVGA 800 x 480 touchscreen and 3G HSDPA.
This is good news for those that might love the idea of the HTC Touch HD but don’t love touchscreens. Regardless, this would be a good move. Now if only it would be released in the U.S.!

They will definitely make this. It is the natural progression like the Diamond to the Pro, and why wouldn’t they make a PRO version of the HD since a keyboard has no relationship to a full screen and I shouldn’t have to sacrifice one for the other.
At least HTC is finally on the right track, since I think Apple is too proud to attach a full keyboard and will pay the price.
Either way I’m holding off on the HD and Touch Pro until an HD Pro is available (probably Spring 2009). All those people who bought Touch Pro’s are going to be pissed, but then again HTC had no problem screwing all the people who bought Diamonds with the HD.
Oh yeah, the author’s an idiot
I hope they make this. A qwerty keyboard is a must for me now after having one on my current htc. 160 g is fine for those features. it would also make a great game platform with the right emulator.
muy bueno este telefono donde se puede consegir en usa y cuanto costaria en dolares o que clase de arreglo se puede aser para que funsione en otras conpanias
This would be awesome to have here in the US. T-Mobile should pick this one up, they could even rename it…… G2…..
