I’m still baffled as to why Apple decided to leave out or is incapable of offering Copy and Paste on the iPhone. Preston Monroe got sick and tired of waiting on Apple so he took matters into his own hands and developed iCopy. iCopy is a javascript bookmarklet that lets you copy and paste text or URLs between browser windows in Safari. It even let you email text or URLs.

This solution isn’t the real deal or perfect by any means because all the text you copy and paste get sent over the Internet, so mind what you copy and paste. iCopy is freely available, so enjoy.

iCopy is a javascript bookmarklet; basically, you bookmark some javascript code and run it from your bookmarks. The actually information is not, I repeat, not sent over the internet. Most likely it’s stored as a cookie, and then deleted.
