iPhone 3G S Hopefuls Who Don’t Pre-order Will Have to Wait a Few Weeks

I have been using my original iPhone since a few weeks after the thing was first launched. I skipped the iPhone 3G because the 3G coverage in my area sucks. With the new iPhone 3G S now announced I think it might be time to finally get a new device.

I never pre-order gadgets and I didn’t pre-order the iPhone. If you are like me, you may end up waiting a few weeks before you can get your hands on the new iPhone. Honestly, I expected the device to sell out and it to take a few weeks after the 19th launch date to get my hands on the phone anyway.

Boy Genius Report got a tip from someone in the industry along with a screen shot showing that the huge demand for the iPhone 3G S for consumers has led to AT&T to begin telling consumers who pre-order after June 13 that they will need to wait about 7 to 14 more days before they can get their device. You can still wait in line in hopes of getting an iPhone 3G S on launch day.
