iPhone 3GS owners lament battery life

One of the big problems I have always had with my original iPhone is that the battery life isn’t that great. If you play many games or surf the net for long, you will run out of battery before your day is done. Apparently the new iPhone 3GS has some of the same issues.

The LA Times reports that some iPhone 3GS owners are claiming that it is hard to make it through a full workday on a single charge of the internal battery. Despite battery life woes, Apple has moved well over a million handsets so far.

Apple reportedly recommends turning off 3G to save battery life and be able to use the phone for the entire day. The new device reportedly has less runtime than the original did. The battery in the latest iPhone is 15% smaller than the battery used in the original.
