Interesting. We can’t really put our finger on it, but if we had to try and guess, we would say that while Apple is making a bunch of money this year (so far), and they’re selling out of pretty much everything they’re manufacturing (like the iPhone 4), it just seems like things aren’t working as well as normal. As well as Apple is known for, at least. Today marks the announcement from Apple that the white iPhone 4 is proving to be “more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected.”
So, what does that mean? Unfortunately, that means folks aren’t going to get their white iPhone 4s by the end of the Summer, which Apple originally promised. No, it’s actually been delayed yet again, and this time the only specific part you’ll hear from their statement (which is below) is that it’s still coming. When? Later this year. Check out their statement below, and let us know in the comments if you’re still planning on waiting to get your hands on this version of the iPhone.
White models of Apple’s new iPhone 4 have continued to be more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected, and as a result they will not be available until later this year. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected.
