iRiver’s parent company Reigncom along with Korean cellular carrier KT have announced the release of their iRiver Wave. This particular handset has popped up here and there for a while now, but never have we been able to see such eye candy.

The iRiver Wave has a 3-inch 480 x 272 touchscreen for all your multimedia needs. The iRiver Wave will be available to the public on March 9th 2009, still with no word on pricing. As usual we have yet to see a release date for Europe or the US. Initially ten lucky iRiver Zone stores will be getting the beautiful handset before it is released in more locations.

Users can expect Wi-Fi for Internet access and media streaming as well as VoIP support. The media player has support for MP3, WMA, OGG and MPEG 1/2/2.5 audio files, and MPEG-4 (30fps 480 x 272) video files. You can add plenty of music with the 4GB of internal memory and expandable miniSD card slot. If you manage to run out of music to listen to your in luck, the iRiver Wave has a built-in FM radio.
