President of Reigncom, Myoung Woo Lee, has announced that iRiver will release a mobile phone sometime early next year, on the Korean carrier KT. This phone was seen at CES 2008 as a concept model, little did we know it would later be released.

The iRiver Wave will be available on March 9th at 10 iRiver Zone stores and eventually move to other major carriers. The Wave will be 110.5 x 52.5 x 15.5m and weigh only 103g.  There is 4GB of internal storage with the option for expansion via miniSD card. The preloaded media player is compatible with MP3, WMA, OGG and MPEG 1/2/2.5 audio files, and MPEG-4 (30fps 480 x 272) video files.

The Wave has a beautiful 3-inch 480 x 272 touchscreen that make this a fantastic device for watching videos. Preloaded on the iRiver Wave you will find access to the Bugs Music Service for on-device media downloads.  With the launch being so far off, there is still with no word on confirmed pricing at this time.
