Is this the 3G iPhone?  Let’s be honest, the possibility of it actually being a very early leaked photo of the upcoming high-speed Apple cellphone is pretty unlikely – Cupertino’s lawyers have an almost superhuman ability to swoop down and suck the juice out of any rumors with an ounce of truth in them – so we’re leaning toward thinking it’s actually a clever mod (or Photoshop of a potentially clever mod), replacing the aluminium and black plastic back panel with a molded single piece. 

Another rumor is that this is a real upcoming iPhone, but in fact the rumored “budget” handset that PiperJaffray analyst Gene Munster suggested is on the cards.  That could explain the fact that the pictured device still comes with 8GB of storage.
