Jawbone 2 gets reviewed

Vincent over at SlashGear has just finished his review of Aliph’s new Jawbone 2 Bluetooth headset. Overall, the review is overwhelmingly positive. Such words as ‘wow’ and ‘amazing’, would be words that could sum the product up, according to the review. What is so special about this device though? Well, sound quality, size, and comfort are some.

The review touts the devices excellent design, and remarkable craftsmanship. Vincent called me several times during the review using the headset, and from my end, I heard only his voice. Even when driving windows down on the highway, I was still able to understand him good enough that there was no need to roll up the windows. The device sports excellent battery life, with up to four hours talk time, and a whopping eight hours of talk time.

Unlike the original Jawbone headset, the ear hook is a totally optional. You may want to think twice before taking it off though, as it aids to help the device stay flush to your cheek. It is absolutely essential the small rubber sensor be touching your cheek, so it can detect when you are speaking. This is the secret to its superior noise cancellation technology, called NoiseAssassin.

The device uses an industrial diamond design. The device has two buttons, one to control the NoiseAssassin, by control, I mean toggle it on/off. The one button controls everything. From volume to end/send, this button controls it. There is a thin silver status light, but if you would not prefer that, then you can disable it. Check out the galley below.
