Oh to be as easily pleased as cellphone models. These ladies are ecstatic because LG’s latest slider, the LG-SH150A, has a nifty 2.2-inch AMOLED display rather than anything so mundane as LCD. AMOLED (Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode) apparently offers response times 1,000x that of TFT-LCD; plus, since each pixel has its own transistor control rather than being triggered via the passive matrix, it’s even better than normal OLED and capable of displaying 26-million colours.

Reason enough to be cheerful, certainly, and the LG-SH150A’s 7.2Mbps HSDPA cellular broadband, DMB-TV tuner, 2-megapixel camera (and VGA front camera for video calls) and PC connectivity just adds to our models’ glee.
The LG LG-SH150A also has an electronic dictionary, memory expansion via an as-yet unknown format, global roaming and is compatible with the Moneta electronic-payment system. Unfortunately it’s only available in Korea on the CYON network (for around $400).
