LG Neon mobile phone launches on AT&T

The high-end smartphone market may have the most feature laden devices, but for many consumers the high-end isn’t where they can afford to shop. That iPhone 3G at $99 may be a killer deal, but if you can only afford $30 it doesn’t really matter how good the iPhone is.

AT&T and LG have announced a new handset aimed at those who like to text called the LG Neon. The device is cool looking with a design that looks like some sort of concept device. The handset has a full QWERTY keyboard that slides out for messaging and email.

Other features include a 2-megapixel camera and an integrated music player. Storage for music and images is to microSD cards up to 4GB in capacity. The handset also includes Bluetooth 2.0. The handset is available exclusively from AT&T for $29.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate.
